Friends of the Palo Alto Parks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  All donations are tax-deductible. We continue to have many successes in enhancing parks in Palo Alto. Proud accomplishments include:

BAYLANDS
Sponsoring a bench at the mouth of San Francisquito Creek that honors former Palo Alto Mayor Alan Henderson

BOL PARK
Assisting with fundraising for Phase II of the Native Plant Garden

JUANA BRIONES PARK
Funding an educational history display (cross section of a redwood tree showing time lines relating to Juana Briones' life)

ELINOR COGSWELL PLAZA
Contributing funds to set up WiFi through the City's server

FOOTHILLS PARK
Assisting Friends of Foothills Park in securing a grant from the Packard Foundation to recruit new and enthusiastic members

HERITAGE PARK
Working with the city of Palo Alto and sponsoring the Heritage Park Playground LLC to develop Palo Alto's newest park and children's play area

LAWN BOWLING GREEN
Assisting with fundraising to refurbish the clubhouse

LUCIE STERN COMMUNITY CENTER
Replanting and mulching beds in the patio and entry area in partnership with the City and the Kiwanis Club of Palo Alto

LYTTON PLAZA PARK
Co-sponsoring (with the Palo Alto Downtown Association) the public/private partnership that renovated and revitalized Lytton Plaza

MAGICAL BRIDGE PLAYGROUND AT MITCHELL PARK
Sponsoring a new kind of playground where everyone can play – bridging the gap between those with and without special needs in our communiy

ELEANOR PARDEE PARK
Sponsoring a park bench. Replanting the Memorial Grove in partnership with the City and with the Kiwanis Club of Palo Alto in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of 9/11

PEARSON ARASTRADERO PRESERVE
Receiving grants from the Palo Alto Community Fund and from the Palo Alto Rotary Club to complete the interpretive exhibits at the Gateway Nature Center

RINCONADA PARK
Partnering with the Kiwanis Club of Palo Alto and the City to refresh and maintain planting beds

PUBLICATIONS
Spearheading the effort and co-partnering with the Palo Alto Historical Association on the latest edition of the PARKS OF PALO ALTO booklet
